Just to remind you that work on the new version of my C64 Sprite / Charset ripping utility is coming along very nicely. You can check out my daily (well almost) digest here: [forum link] You do not have to join just to read the logs. If you are interested in collecting original C64 games, then please check out my Ebay sales pages over the coming days / weeks as I will be adding lot's of my old games.

I guess it's been quite some time again since my last post :) This one's a great update though, so hopefully all should be forgiven. For those living under a tea-cosy, last weekend (13th September 2003) saw Back In Time Live - Brighton 2003 take place. I was there, and so was my camera. You can find all the images by clicking HERE!

OK folks with the help of some great people on www.GP32x.com I finally finished my port of X-Scape to the GP32 handheld games console. You can find it on the Games Download page, or directly download it by clicking HERE!

[geek mode] - Having been doing a lot of GP32 programming of late, I found that I needed to convert some old tracker mod tunes into include files. Rather than loading music files at run time, like any other file, it is possible to make them into #include files. These include files go at the top of any C, or C++ file like thus: #include "musicfile.h". The file is then compiled into your finished executable, thus no additional loading required. I googled the internet looking for such a program to convert my old tunes but simply couldn't find one. I found one for graphics but it refused to load mod files :) so in the end I wrote one myself. If you need a program that will convert any binary file into a C, C++ header file then download x2h here!

Just a quick note to prove I am still alive! - I am indeed and currently working on the new C64 Sprite / Charset ripper, along with a port of X-Scape to the GP32 handheld games console. I am also in the process of mastering a very good artists new album, 2 tracks done so far Aaron :) If that wasn't enough, I am also working on some music projects myself, towards my own second album.

Great news for us Erasure fans this evening. Vince Clarke and Andy Bell enter the UK Top 10, at number 10 with their new single Solsbury Hill. I along with thousands of other people ran out and purchased the 2 cd + 1 dvd collection last week, in a mad rush to get the song chart status.

On another note I am still working away on the new version of the sprite / charset riper, and also a BlitzBasic DLL extention, more on these later.

On an unrelated topic this time, if you haven't already heard about this one then you are not worthy! - The new Game Boy Advance "Special Edition" will be launched in 4-5 months times and it looks fan-flippin-tastic! - Check out the cool pictures on Nintendo's website HERE!

Just to let you all know I am back working on the C64 Sprite / CharSet ripper once more. I am currently working on a component which will allow you to actually edit sprites & charsets from within the ripper. You will then be able to save to a bitmap with your edited versions, or re-save the freeze file and load back into an emulator with your sprite changes evident. Initially I am focusing on just sprites but this will then filter down to charsets too. Feel free to post suggestions for additions / changes etc on the forum HERE!

Well folks it's been a long long time coming, but finally my game is ready! - May I present to the world.... X-Scape. You can download it as a Zip file HERE!. Later this week I hope to write a special feature on the game, which will be available HERE! When downloading the game simply extract the zip file to an empty directory and run X-Scape.exe. Please report any problems with the game to the Bug thread on our Forum HERE!

Nothing to update just at the moment, but that doesn't mean I am not hard at work! - I am working on a PC game at the moment which I hope to completely finish within the next month, more on this soon :) In the meantime I hope you enjoy the seasonal logo at the top, if you didn't guess it's supposed to be scary for halloween!!!!

Still working on the C64 Sprite / CharSet Ripper this evening, and finally an increase in speed becomes apparent, about 500% :) - as you can imagine I am slightly happy with this :o). As the project continues in development I have realised that a name change will be in order soon (but you will have to watch this space :)

Continued work on the C64 Sprite / CharSet Ripper this evening. Although the speed isn't improving just yet, I am still living in hope :o) Fixed a couple more bugs though, and had a few really great ideas.

Taking it easy today after spending yesterday at the Northampton Balloon Festival. If you want to have a look at some of the photographs I took then visit the BBC website local pages for Northampton. Alternatively you can go directly to the pictures by clicking HERE! - they seem to scale the pics down quite a lot and mess with the quality :( though. My pictures if you don't already know were taken by me Paul Kubiszyn (funny that).

Just noticed that on a number of links from this website our URL remains in the address bar of browser windows, will try and fix this sometime this evening. If you have never heard of Links2Cash then you should probably check out their website HERE. They pay you money for clicking on links to other websites, how cool is that. Signup is just a case of entering your PayPal email address, creating a login name and you can start earning money straight away.

You may have noticed the increasing number of advertising banners appearing on our site, I do appologise but we have to pay for the site up-keep some how. I promise not to add any annoying pop up's :o) Please, if you plan to download any games etc click on a banner or two. It really helps. Thanks peeps.

Ok, I didn't get around to adding the pictures from our latest wip game, I did however add a new section called "The Studio Setup". I will try and get around to adding the full equipment list at some point. For now just enjoy the picture, and please... don't have nightmares.

Thought I had better clear something up which has been causing concern to many people in Northampton UK. A few weeks ago an email was sent out from the Corby Police Department warning about a telephone scammer doing the rounds in Northampton. This email was even forwarded to ME! - thanks Ben. It has since been revealed in a press statement that the email was taken out of all context and has now become spam in itself :) You can read all about it on our Northants forum or straight from the horses mouth on the Register.co.uk website.

Decided today that I would look into making another version of the C64 Sprite / Charset Ripper. I had for a long time thought that I had pretty much finished the utility, but realise after having to use it myself only last week how slow it runs. I started playing around today to see if I might be able to speed things up a little, and things are certainly looking promising :) so stay tuned. Talking of tunes I also started writing a rather catchy "rave" number today.
